Statistics: Russia’s platinum group metals output falls 0.2% in September

MOSCOW, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s output of unrefined and semi-refined or powder platinum and platinum group metals decreased 0.2% on the year and shrank 9.7% on the month in September, the Federal State Statistics Service said Thursday without disclosing absolute figures.

Silver output rose 7.6% on the year and fell 3.7% on the month in September.

In January–September, the output of platinum and platinum group metals grew 4.9% on the year, and of silver decreased 4.6 %.

Russia does not publish absolute figures of platinum production.
